Created at Gavle Konstcentrum in Sweden, Project Esrange and Other Research represented the second iteration of this artwork originally commissioned by Signal Galleri in Malmö. Both installations housed research gathered from Raskin's trip to the Swedish Space Corporation's Esrange launch site in the Arctic Circle. Viewers entered the installation through a red carpet and platform leading into an arch-shaped opening where they encountered an abstract narrative video depicting certain aspects of Raskin's time at Esrange. Moving into the second room, research materials were displayed via slideshow on a television set. The installation concluded in a third room featuring sculptures fabricated from the arch-shaped cutouts that visitors passed through to gain access to each of the spaces. These cutouts were mounted on pallets and placed within a third space overlooking the forest where Raskin chrome-painted a plywood sheet and chained it to a tree.
